- Select the file and optional Stream Profile.
- Run Dry Run.
- Review every Ready, Skipped, and Failed row.
- Correct the file or selections and run Dry Run again.
- Select Import and keep new Streams stopped until tested.
Normalized duplicate Source Stream URLs may be skipped.
Import a Codec Backup
- Download an Engine database backup.
- Check license capacity and record existing server names.
- Select the Codec
.gzbackup and run Dry Run. - Resolve unexpected mappings, skipped items, and failures.
- Import with the same file and selections.
- Verify Servers, Categories, Profiles, DVB, VOD, Streams, Bouquets, Packages, Accounts, and Users.
The current Master is retained. Matching names and duplicate records may map to existing Engine IDs. Imported media output is rebuilt by Engine, and license limits remain enforced.
Warning
Dry Run Is Not a Reservation: Import is not cryptographically bound to an older preview. Run Dry Run immediately before Import and repeat it after any file, selection, or Engine data change.
Keep the source system and backups until administration and production playback have been verified.
