CAM
CAM
Use CAM to define SoftCAM connections that decrypt supported DVB services. Do not configure a CAM for clear services or as a substitute for valid provider authorization.
Sidebar Actions
| Action | When to Use | How to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Manage SoftCAMs | Check existing connection status, assignments, and settings. | Open CAM → Manage SoftCAMs, identify the connection used by the Adapter, and inspect its status before changing DVB tuning. |
| Add SoftCAM | Connect Engine to an authorized OSCam-compatible endpoint. | Open CAM → Add SoftCAM, enter the host, port, credentials, and supported protocol settings, save, then assign it to the intended Adapter. |
Validation
- Confirm the Adapter locks and discovers services without relying on the SoftCAM status alone.
- Assign the SoftCAM only to the intended Adapter or services.
- Verify ECM processing and clear output with an authorized channel.
- Check server time, network reachability, credentials, CAID/provider support, and entitlement when decryption fails.
See DVB Adapters and SoftCAM for tuning, service, SID, PID, and production checks.
